This month's area focus has been on Halton - a picturesque village just North-East of Lancaster. As well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside, Halton is home to a vast array of listed houses and historical buildings.

Halton is a village which has seen lots of changes in the past 5 years.

First was the opening of the Bay Gateway. Who can recall all the posters in the windows of people’s home saying no to the by-pass? Many people opposed it, however, 3 years on, many welcome it and just how connected it has made the village.

Halton is a village which is thriving.  Years ago, it was deemed 2nd relation to nearby Caton and Brookhouse.  Now it’s topping the list as a place to live as buyers race to move to this tranquil and community spirit led village.
