About this Home
Just set back from Caton Road near the Denny Beck turn off are a small run of terrace houses and this is where we find number 4 Denny Bank. A three-bedroom terrace home that is jam-packed with period charm. Stepping into the small walled front garden and through its picturesque red front door, we enter into the main hallway. You will immediately notice the ornate coving, original floorboards, and stairway as you walk onto the front room that shares the flooring, a large bay window allows light to flood in with a gorgeous fireplace on the wall opposite. This is a very cosy room and is a perfect place to relax as a family. Continuing down the hallway brings us to the dining room and kitchen, switching to a stone and tiled floor. Again filled with the same period charm we found elsewhere in the house with a wonderful feature fireplace also present. The kitchen is a galley-style kitchen set off to the left-hand side of the house and is in need of renovation and modernization. A handy store cupboard can be found under the stairs as well.
Upstairs a central landing runs the width of the house with two bedrooms to the front and a bedroom and bathroom to the rear. All three bedrooms are double bedrooms with two having sufficient room to fit large wardrobes suits. Currently, the master bedroom sits overlooking the front of the house but arguably the largest bedroom is the sole bedroom looking over the back garden. To the end of the landing, there is a small storage cupboard and to the right, we find the bathroom. A very traditional-looking room with a wonderful free-standing bath and victorian style basin and toilet. The house also offers long south-facing gardens overlooking the fields and off up to Quernmore, with a patio seating area towards the front door and plants and bushes taking you down a path tp the bottom of the garden.
This house is going to be in need of some modernization and perhaps some decoration in touches, it has been a well-loved family home and hopefully will be still.
