Where is Ashfield Ave?
Ashfield Avenue is in a peaceful and desirable location just minutes away from the city centre, in the residential area known as Fairfield.
Fairfield is an area of the city which is noted for its greenery. It offers a perfect combination of city life and protected green spaces. It's a sought after location, home to the Millennium Park nature reserve and a community orchard.
Lancaster train station is a few minutes' walk away, with direct connections to Manchester, London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The street is in the catchment area of many highly regarded schools including both the Boys and Girls Grammar Schools.
Make your way through the iron gate toward the beautiful, original front door and step inside. Find yourself in a handy vestibule area, perfect for hanging coats and storing shoes before entering the hallway via a part glazed internal door.
Beautiful original tiles, displaying the well recognised period feature in these homes, can be found to the floor - running all the way to the foot of the stairs.
Let us start in the reception rooms on the ground floor to our left.
The ground floor rooms
From the hallway, we enter the first of two reception rooms. Cleverly separated by large, mainly glazed internal French doors. This middle reception room is the perfect sitting room or dining space, depending on your needs and requirements. The decoration is smart and modern, yet still oozes the charm of the period in which it was built. The original storage cupboard in the recess next to the fireplace, which is now used for ornamental purposes, is a perfect example of this.
