Where is Abbeystead Drive?
Abbeystead Drive can be found in the ever popular residential area of Lancaster, known as Hala. Popular with families due to it's generous sized family homes, open green spaces and excellent local schools.
The area is well serviced by local buses and motorists will find access into the centre of Lancaster and to the M6, easily gained. Local amenities including supermarkets, convenience stores and doctors surgeries, are within walking distance.
Hala is perfect for commuting to the best local schools and the area's largest employers, The Lancaster Royal Infirmary and two Universities
Make your way up the steps from the road itself to the Upvc front door of this home. Step inside and be greeted by a spacious entrance hallway. There is space for furniture, a place to hang your coats and even further storage under the stairs.
Access to all ground floor rooms is granted from the hallway, along with access to the 1st floor via the stairs to your left. As with the entire home, modernisation and decoration is required in this entrance hallway.
Ground floor rooms
To your right, upon entering the home, make your way into the front facing living room. It really is a great size, offering space for a 3 and 2 seater sofa. A large window looks out to the front, allowing plenty of natural light within. You may wish to update the decor within, giving you the chance to create a relaxing and inviting living room for the family to enjoy.
Accessed from the living room is the large and social kitchen/diner space to the rear of the home. Once more, with some re-design and re-decoration within, you can create a brilliant area for entertaining family and friends. Currently, a window looks out to the rear garden, however, you may wish to install French doors leading out to the garden.
The kitchen itself is a good size and has plenty of worktop surfaces to take advantage of. White units don the walls and space for all the necessary white goods is afforded. Access to the adjoining out house and rear garden is granted from the kitchen side door.
Bedrooms and bathroom
The master bedroom sits to the front of the home, along with the 3rd bedroom. Lots of space is available for a large double bed and further furniture to suit. A large window allows natural light to stream in and brighten the room. Once again, you may wish to decorate to your own tastes, but what you do have is a fantastic sized master bedroom to create a relaxing and peaceful retreat.
The 3rd bedroom, also overlooking the front elevation, offers buyers the opportunity to create an office/study or possibly used as a child's bedroom, depending on your needs and requirements. There is additional storage within this 3rd bedroom.
The 2nd double bedroom of this home is located at the rear of the home, overlooking the garden. Once more, you have a great sized bedroom to take advantage of. Re-decoration is required once again, giving you the opportunity to create a beautiful 2nd double.
Next door is the modern fitted shower room. With a corner shower cubicle and wash basin, this tiled shower room is ready to go. A separate W.C sits next door, giving you the opportunity to leave as it is or knock through and combine the two, creating a good sized family bathroom.
Additional outhouse and rear garden
Attached to the home and accessed from the kitchen, is the spacious and multi functional outhouse. Many people on Abbeystead Drive and surrounding streets have converted this space in some form or another. Maybe this could be your home gym or utility area from the kitchen. Currently it is a useful storage space, granting access out to the rear garden.
The garden itself is a great space to enjoy. With a little TLC, you could have a wonderful area to relax in during the warmer months. A patio area sits on the ground level, perfect for table and chairs. The rest of the garden proceeds upwards, in the form of tiers. Create your own individual seating and planting areas, giving variety to your garden.
