A little about the area

Bolton Le Sands is a village just north of Lancaster, as the name suggests it sits beside Morecambe Bay. The village has much history, even getting a mention in the Domesday book and today there is a thriving village community.

The oldest church in the village, Church of England Holy Trinity was originally dedicated to St Michael and it is believed that the oldest part of the church dates back to around 1500.

The canal passes through the village and there are some lovely walks along the tow path.
