The village of Galgate is approximately 5 miles south from the city of Lancaster and only a short drive from Junction 33 of the M6 Motorway which makes it great for those who need to commute to work.
Galgate has much to offer including its own primary school, a local convenience store, hairdressers, beauty salon, a fish and chip shop and there are two public houses which both serve food.
You will also see that Galgate has its very own youth football team and towards the end of the football pitch is the community village hall.
Ground floor rooms
The main entrance to the front of the home opens up into the generous sized living area. This well appointed room has a real bright and airy feel to it thanks to the neutral decoration the owners have chosen.
The lounge itself has a double glazed window to the front of the home and there is a double glazed door opening out to the rear of the property. There is an exposed beam to the ceiling which adds a little character to this cottage style home and a built in cupboard provides storage whilst hiding away the meters.
Just off the living room is the kitchen which has ample built in storage on offer and all the white goods you will require are available. The boiler for the home has been hidden behind a wall mounted cupboard and there is a double glazed window to the right of this, which looks out over the front of the home. The staircase is open plan to the kitchen and will lead you up to the first floor along with having some storage space below.
Up to the first floor
Once you are up to the first floor, the first room you will come across on your left hand side is the bathroom. This three piece suite in white has been recently fitted and offers a shower above the bath which is run off the mixer tap attachment. This room has been partially tiled and decorated in a very tasteful way. The frosted double glazed window allows in plenty of natural light.
Also to the front of the home is the bedroom which once again has been tastefully decorated in a contemporary fashion. This room features a built in double bed which has storage below. There is also further storage available and fitted shelves to store away your clothes.
The first floor also has another space which could be used for a variety of purposes depending on your needs. We feel this would make a great walk in wardrobe or possibly even a study room if you sometimes work from home.
To the rear of this cottage style home you will see there is an enclosed yard area with walled boundaries making this a private space. There are a set of double opening timber gates which once both open can actually turn the rear space into off road parking if this is something which you require. Alternatively you could use this space to sit out and relax on your own patio furniture with your friends or family.
