Torrisholme Road is a popular residential road which links the North part of Lancaster up with the village of Torrisholme in Morecambe. The road itself mainly consists of semi detached homes although there are a few bungalows and detached properties along the way. The area of Skerton dates back to Norman times and was once classed as a village before being linked up with Lancaster itself back in the late 1800's.
Close by there are a wide variety of local amenities, businesses and schools. Opposite this part of the road you will find Ryelands Park which is a public park and was given to the residents of Lancaster by Lord Ashton, a local industrialist, whose family home was Ryelands House.
A little bit about the home
As you step through into the vestibule where you can hang coats and shoes, you will find the hallway with the stairs leading off to the first floor and the living room, dining room and kitchen to the left. You can gain access to the back garden via the back doors to the kitchen. The first floor offers a family bathroom, two double bedrooms and a single bedroom.
What we like
The location is fabulous here. There is a short cut to the city centre via the Millenium Bridge which will have you in town in around 10 minutes. You are also very close to the links to the motorway and A roads along with local supermarkets just a short drive away.
The ground floor
Come on in and have a look at what you can do here. We have established the location is fabulous so now tell me what you would do to make this home your own.... The living room is of a really generous size and has a bay window to give that little bit of extra space facing the park. A gas fire is situated as a focal point. The decor is neutral and the carpet is light brown which runs through in and out of the ground floor. The dining room is again about the same size as the living room with the same decor and the window looking out to the garden. A gas fire also features in here too. The kitchen is of a galley style and the fridge, freezer and washing machine can be left if the potential buyer requires them. The combination boiler is located in the utility room along with plenty of storage. A window over the sink allows light to circulate and the back door has frosted glass for privacy and light in utility area. The units are cream with a wood effect worktops and anti slip flooring.
The first floor and bathroom
Up to the first floor you will find the fitted bathroom suite and the 3 bedrooms. The bathroom is cream and beige with a beige carpet. there is an electric shower and a frosted window for light and ventilation.the master bedroom is to the front with the bay window and fitted wardrobes. There is ample room for a bed and other furniture but the built in wardrobes are really a bonus. The second bedroom is a double and to the back of the property overlooking the lovely garden. The third bedroom is a single and is to the front as is the master overlooking the park. Cream walls and beige carpets run from the ground floor up to the first floor.
The gardens and parking
There is parking on the driveway for up to two cars and a garage to the back of the drive with double doors. Perfect for storage or even a workshop for the man of the house. The gardens are long but the sun gets to the garden all day, tied in with the park across the road, you are surrounded by greenery.... Just lovely!
