What we like
"You'd be forgiven for thinking this home belongs to an interior designer such is the quirky fab styling of this home. The living space wowed us - there is more living space than there are bedrooms. More homes should be like this - after all - isn't a home for living!"
The ground floor living space
Follow us, through the front gate and up the garden path. Let's go through the entrance and into the vestibule. Straight away from the wallpapered inner entrance vestibule, you'll quickly realise this home is different. Be prepared!
The main hallway to this unique home sets the tone of the home. Traditional in its styling, yet funky with it's decor - the vivid pink carpet makes a bold statement. The traditional internal door opens into the main ground floor living area's.
Relax in the bay fronted lounge with its warm honey toned stripped original flooring. This room is a complete contrast to the entrance and it's pleasing to see the original built in Victorian Cupboards and cornicing. An open dog grate fire place sits back in the chimney breast - perfect for the cooler nights or simply toasting marshmallows. The 2nd reception room is used as a 2nd sitting room after all you still have that big kitchen diner to discover. The styling complements that of the main lounge and once again retains many original features.
Continue your exploration of this home into the garden room. It might be the smallest room in the home, however it is one of our favourites such is the relaxing feel overlooking the Mediterranean styled courtyard. It's a peaceful room. French doors open out the garden. Sat here, you'll quickly forget that this is a city centre home!
The lower ground floor
Let's go downstairs. The large kitchen diner will impress those that love to entertain. The stylish units have ample storage and appliances are all integral. This is a kitchen where you can entertain family and friends with comfort and ease from your vantage point in the kitchen. Serve canapes over the large kitchen work surface that extends around and divides the two areas. Join in with the conversation and laughter around the dinner table as you cook up your feast for everyone to enjoy.
On a practical level, you'll also be please to know there is a also guest wc and laundry area - both tucked away out of sight!
The bedrooms and bathroom
The three bedrooms which are all doubles are spread over the two upper floors. Which will you choose as the master bedroom? Perhaps you'll do as the current family have chosen to do, opting for the large double room with the most amazing luxurious carpet that spans the front of the home. The original wooden shutters on the double glazed sash window work - hence there are no need for curtains in this room. The 2nd bedroom with its moody dramatic decor over looks the rear courtyard. It's a peaceful room with views over the gardens of Meadowside.
The top floor features another large double bedroom with its fab feature window. This bedroom spans the width of the home. The 3-piece family bathroom is adjacent. It's stylish and large. Take a look at the modern take on a slipper bath. It is certainly a feature to the room.
The Mediterranean courtyard
The courtyard is perfect for those who want to simply sit out and dine alfresco or relax outdoors reading a book on a warm summer afternoon. This is a courtyard which has been designed for easy maintenance living. It's private. It is surrounded with greenery. It also has a refreshing Mediterranean feel.
