Welcome to Fleet Green - a horse shoe shaped street aptly named due to the central open green this home over looks. Located on the Vale estate, this semi detached home is set close to Ryelands Park and just 1.5 miles north of the city centre. In the area there are great local amenities including a convenience store on Barley Copp Lane for your every day needs. Local transport is excellent with buses running through the estate and also regularly on neighbour Owen Road and Torrisholme Road.
What we like
" As we pulled up outside Fleet Green we couldn't help but admire the pretty cottage style garden to the front. The sun was shining and a gentle breeze was blowing. We were invited in. As the family lead us out the rear my jaw dropped. That garden. Wow. What can we say. Not only is it huge but it ever so pretty. It's also an edible garden with a variety of fruit trees and raspberry bushes. There is even a herb garden. As I stood and admired the garden- I also realised that this home has the space to extend to either the side or rear. You won't find another home in this price range with a garden like this!"
About this home
Fleet Green is an ex local authority home set on a pretty open green. It's an ideal home for a couple, perfect for first time buyers but also those who may want to downsize and enjoy semi retirement idling away their days in the huge garden.
Offering 2 bedrooms, this home with it's L-shaped lounge diner and white kitchen is part double glazed and gas central heated. It's available now with no chain.
The ground floor
Come with us, up the pretty path through the beautifully planted front garden. Enter into the hallway. Stairs ahead take you upstairs to the two bedrooms and bathroom.
Turn left and you are in the main living area. The L-shaped lounge diner has been designed to give the space to both relax and dine. The current family use it purely as a living space, however why not have a two seater in the lounge and a small table in the dining area. After all this opens out in the fitted kitchen! It's a light and bright room with windows to both the front and rear. I'd change the dining room window for french doors - you could then easily add a conservatory at a later date and really enjoy that garden!
The first floor
Let's go upstairs. You'll find two bedrooms - the master bedroom to the front with the mirrored fitted wardrobes that span one wall ( there is plenty of storage ) and the 2nd bedroom, ideal as a child's bedroom or also home office that has those fabulous garden views.
The 3-piece bathroom is fitted with a suite in white.
This home is all about garden. You'll be hard pressed to find a garden which is better than this one. The large lawn is superb for children to play. The garden is very edible - there are a variety of fruit trees, bushes and a superb herb garden. You could even keep chickens- just like the present family does!
