What we like...
We love the potential this home offers thanks to the size of the rooms on offer and the simply fantastic views across the bay from the front and side of the home. Yes, this six bedroom home needs updating throughout but look at what you get for the money. The home is priced with the works in mind and to be fair you really are getting a lot of property for your money here, why not come and have a look?
A little about the home
The main entrance opens into the hallway which features stained glass windows and a wonderful staircase. The main living room is to the front of the home and this is a great sized room. The ground floor also features a further room which would make the perfect kitchen diner and there is a small kitchen area currently to the rear hallway which provides access to the outside space and down to the cellar.
Up to the first floor there are currently three bedroom areas, a bathroom and a separate wc. One of the bedrooms has been used as a living room thanks to the brilliant views across the bay. Up on the second floor there is a similar layout with three further bedrooms, another bathroom and separate wc. There really is so much space and the potential to change the layout to create your own style would be easy to do with a little imagination.
Externally the home boasts a rather generous outside space to the rear of the home along with off road parking available and even a brick built garage is available. The home is gas central heated throughout and is for sale with no chain.
Ground floor rooms
As you step inside this home from the main front elevation you will find yourself in the entrance porch which then leads through to the spacious hallway. The main focal point which we love in this home has to be the staircase which is a lovely feature and continues right up to the top floor. There are also stained glass windows to add a little character and there is access from here to all the rooms available on the ground floor.
To the front of the home is a great sized living room which has retained many of its original features and there is a sash window to the front elevation which helps to give the room a bright and airy feel. The space on offer is great and you will not struggle to fit in the furniture you would expect to have in this room.
Also off the hallway is the second reception room which would make the ideal kitchen diner with a little planning and thought. This room looks out to the rear garden and there is a great feature fireplace to the centre of the room. To the far end of the hallway is the rear hallway which is actually where the previous owners installed the gas cooker and there is also a stainless steel sink here too. Access from this area leads you down to the two cellar rooms which are ideal for storage and also to the outside space at the rear.
As you get to the top of the first floor landing the first room you reach is the handy separate wc which also houses the combi boiler for the home. The front room has actually been split into two separate room creating what could be the master bedroom or another sitting room thanks to the uninterrupted views over Morecambe Bay. The other room to the front of the home is still large enough for a double bed and looks out to both the front and side of the property making it a really bright and airy room.
The first floor also features a further double bedroom which looks out over the large, sunny, walled garden. There is also a bathroom completed with bath, over-bath shower and basin on this level.
If so desired, this space makes a perfect self-contained area with its own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, wc and sitting room. The sitting room is particularly cosy with a view over the back garden and the spacious kitchen is also a sitting area. This room has fantastic views across the bay, and could be converted into a double bedroom if you so wish, whilst the other bedroom to the front also offers views to the front and side of the home making it a bright and airy room. From the landing a hatch opens into the loft area for further storage.
To the front of the home there is a small courtyard style area with walled boundaries and gated access with a path leading you to the main entrance. Once you are round to the rear of the home you will find a generous sized garden with space for off road parking. The rear also has a detached garage space could be used to store a car or for all your gardening items. Access to the garden can be gained from the rear hallway or from two gated areas to the side of the home.
