What we like
"The garden at Brookcliffe is simply delightful. We are lucky to have seen it in the Summer, the photos just don't do it justice now. The garden leads down to the brook at the bottom of the garden. It is so peaceful listening to the sound of the water trickling by. Last Summer, the owner told us about just how well stocked the garden was and the fruit it produces. This is a garden which changes with the seasons. Who doesn't love snowdrops?"
The living areas
Enter Brookcliffe into the warm, welcoming hallway. Stairs ahead lead up to the first floor. Take the door to the right through to the extensive living space.
Streaming with light, the bay fronted lounge is beautifully decorated in shades of grey. The wallpaper even shimmers. A living flame coal effect fire sits in a traditional surround and creates a warming focal point.
Follow us through to the large, extended dining room. If you like to entertain, you will love this area. There is the space to invite your family around to enjoy Sunday Lunch, let the kids do their homework at the large dining room table and there is still the space to have a 2nd sitting area. Come the summer, you'll want to open the French doors and enjoy alfresco dining on the top terrace. You'll be able to hear the birds sing.
The solid wooden kitchen is light and airy. The galley style layout is practical and you'll discover there is lots of storage too. The kitchen is bigger than it looks with more cupboards leading through to the utility area. Did we mention there is a useful ground floor wc too?
The bedrooms and bathroom
Take the stairs to the first floor. The 3 bedrooms lead off the traditional landing area. The spacious master bedroom is to the front of the home. There is so much his and her hanging space with the floor to ceiling wardrobes which spans across two walls. The 2nd bedroom is also a double. Overlooking the rear garden it has a enviable view over the fields behind. The third bedroom is an ideal child's room or nursery. It would also make a super study with its open view.
The bathroom is crisp in white. The bath has been removed and a shower installed, however, it's simple to swap back if a leisurely bath is more for you. The tiling is in white with a stylish blue seaside trim.
The extensive garden, driveway and garage
As soon as you step outside you'll want to explore the garden. The terrace to the top is perfect for alfresco dining in the warmer summer months. Go through the gate and wind your down the path through the garden. This is a garden which is planted for all seasons. It's a garden with fruit trees, shrubs and bushes. Matures trees and hedges provide colour and interest. The brook gently flows past the end of the garden. The sound of the water is ever so peaceful and calming.
