Parklands Grove is a small cul de sac situated in residential Heysham. The area is well served with local amenities with shops, churches and popular schools close by. At nearby Strawberry Gardens, there is a parade of shops, pubs and restaurants and the local library.
Heysham village is not far away and the beach and promenade within walking distance too. The properties are mainly traditional semi detached family houses and bungalows such as this one. There's good access to the main bus routes and of course the Heysham bypass is easily accessible if your journey takes you further afield.
What we like...
There are many things to like inside about the home however one of our favourite parts has to be outside! Once you are round to the rear you will discover a timber built cabin where you can sit and relax in front of the multi fuel stove. Just imagine enjoying a nice warm drink sat in front of the stove whilst enjoying the views of the garden.
A little about the home
This detached true bungalow is a real delightful home. Once inside you will find the hall offers access to all the rooms available along with access up to the loft space via a pull down timber ladder.
The main living room is to the front of the home and looks out over the garden. Buyers will find the kitchen has been fitted with a modern range of units and there is a porch to the rear which doubles up as a utility space. The master bedroom offers a range of built in wardrobes and there is a further bedroom which is currently used as a study. There is also a three piece bathroom suite which has been fully tiled. On top of all this the fully floored and insulated loft space offers a Velux window and will really come in handy.
Outside the home boasts low maintenance gardens to both the front and rear whilst there is ample off road parking available. To the rear garden there is a timber cabin with its very own multi fuel stove which is a real bonus. The home is fully double glazed and offers a gas central heating system throughout.
The main living areas
As you enter this home from the main front elevation you will find yourself in the entrance vestibule which houses the electric meter for the home and is the perfect place to take off your shoes before stepping through to the main hallway. The hallway has been decorated in a soft, neutral style which offers cream carpets which continue through the majority of the home.
The main living room is a generous size and has a rather pleasing aspect overlooking the front garden and up the street thanks to you being at the head of the cul de sac. The main feature focal point of this room has to be the solid marble fire surround which has a living flame coal effect gas fire inset. The room sees the continuation of the neutral decor which helps to create a bright and airy feel.
Once you are through to the kitchen you will find there is a great range of solid wooden cabinets to hide away all your bits and pieces. Ample work space is also on offer for those who love to cook. There is plenty of space for the white goods along with a built in oven and hob which has an extractor fan above. There is a built in wine rack to the side of one of the wall units and there is access from here through to the rear porch. This space is ideal to store your tumble dryer and there is a doorway which leads you to the outside at the rear.
Bedrooms and bathroom
The master bedroom is a good sized double room which offers space for all the furniture you would expect to have. This room looks out into the rear garden so is very private. The second bedroom for this home also has the same aspect and is used as a study room at the moment by the current owner. This could make the perfect spare room for when your guests come over to stay.
Finally the bathroom has been fitted with a three piece suite in white which has been fully tiled to complement. There is also a shower above the bath to give you the best of both worlds and a frosted double glazed window allows in plenty of light.
