Aldrens Lane, Skerton - a home with some fabulous features !

Where is Aldrens Lane?

Aldrens lane is a popular area between Morecambe and Lancaster. This 2 bedroom plus attic space makes for a lovely family home. There is a lovely primary school a few minutes walk away and local amenities on your doorstep. The property offers an open fire to the living room for those chilly nights. It really does have a lovely homely feel to it. What do you think?

About this home

The current owner has spent time making this home feel like just that..."home"
The wooden and laminate flooring flows throughout the ground floor, the open plan living room/dining room and generous 1st floor space would be perfect for those starting on the property ladder. The home is double glazed and centrally heated. The current owner had a new roof to the rear of the property 2013.

What we like

We love the fact there is a beautiful open fire to the living room to come home to whilst the dinner is cooking after having a lovely stroll along the canal. You won't be disappointed!

The ground floor

Once you have entered through the door and through the vestibule to the hallway, you will find the living room to the left and the stairs to the first floor straight ahead of you.
The living room features the original wooden flooring and a stunning fireplace. The dining room has laminate flooring and a period gas fire set into the stripped back rustic brick chimney breast. There is also a school style radiator to fit in with the period of the property. The kitchen offers beech wood fitted units space for a hob and fridge. The current owner has the washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge freezer in the generous cellar. You can also access the backyard from the back kitchen door. The kitchen was re-plastered last year 2017

The first floor

As you approach the top of the stairs you will find the three piece white bathroom suite decorated in a lovely turquoise shade complemented by slate effect laminate flooring. The shower runs off the mains boiler which is also situated in the bathroom hidden behind a cupboard. The bathroom was updated 2 years ago.
Here you will also find one of two generous double bedrooms. The first double looks over the rear of the property and is a light airey bedroom. The second double at the front is an L shape room again with lots of light beaming through the window. A nice bright beige carpet runs through the first floor. There is handy storage shelving to the far end of the landing where the current owner stores books.
The second floor into the loft space is a great size. Laminate flooring runs through and there are 3 large Velux windows to let in light during the day and star gaze in the evening. We think this space would be great for a children's den or playroom.

The rear courtyard

To the rear of the property you will find a generous court yard where there is a space for a little garden table and chairs. Why not add some pots and plants to brighten the area up. It's a fantastic space to sit after work and relax in the evening sun.
