Ulster Road is located in one of Lancaster's most popular residential areas known as Bowerham in the south of the city. Just around the corner you will have almost everything you will need. A local convenience store is on offer along with a chemist, florist, butchers, several hairdressers and the recently refurbished public house.
There are a number of popular primary schools close by and also Ripley St Thomas High School is within walking distance. Easy access can be gained to both universities and the M6 Motorway.
What we like
We love the space this end terrace home offers. Inside you will find generous living space, tasteful decoration and both bedrooms are doubles. We also were impressed that the home offers a ground floor bathroom and a first floor shower room. Viewing is a must!
About this home
As you step inside this home you will find yourself in the hallway which offers access to both reception rooms. The main living room is to the front of the home whilst there is a very spacious dining room which has a lovely focal point to the centre of the room which is a multi fuel stove. Open to the dining room is the fitted kitchen which has plenty of storage and to the far end features a handy utility room and access to a ground floor bathroom.
Up to the first floor there are two great sized double rooms which have both been tastefully decorated and there is a well appointed shower room also. Finally if you go up to the top level you will find yourself in the loft space which has also been presented well and features a double glazed Velux window to the rear elevation. Externally there is a courtyard style front area whilst there is an enclosed yard to the rear of the home.
The living areas
The main entrance to the front of the home opens up into the well presented hallway which will make you feel right at home straight away. The first door you reach on your left hand side will open up into the main living room. The bay fronted window to the front elevation allows in ample light and thanks to the neutral decoration and high ceilings there is a real bright and airy feel. To the centre of the room is a tiled fireplace which has a living flame gas fire complete with a timber surround.
The exposed floorboards have been stripped and continue through to the separate dining room. This large room has a real homely feel. The main focal point to the centre of the room there is an exposed stone fireplace which houses a multi fuel burning stove which will create a real warm, cosy feel. Just imagine enjoying your evening meals with your family and friends and thanks to the open access to the kitchen you can still talk to your guests whilst you are preparing the food.
Buyers will find that the kitchen has a great range of built in storage available for all your bits and pieces. There is plenty of work space also on offer for those who love to cook. We like the fact that there is a gas stove which features an extractor canopy above and there is also space for the white goods you would require. Just off the kitchen to the far end there is a utility room which houses the plumbing for your washing machine and from here there is a doorway opening to the ground floor bathroom.
The bedrooms and bathrooms
To the far end of the ground floor there is a three piece bathroom which has a classy finish. The pale blue tiling complements the white contemporary suite and there is a shower attachment fitted to the bath. A frosted double glazed window can be found to the rear elevation and the room has once again been tastefully presented. Once you are up to the first floor there is a further three piece shower room available. The room has a walk in double shower cubicle along with a low flush wc and hand wash basin. There is also a frosted double glazed window to the rear of the home and an extractor fan has been fitted to the room.
The master bedroom is to the front of the home and is a lovely sized double room. There is a feature exposed stone wall to one wall which gives the room some real character. As you will see the decoration has been kept neutral so any style or furniture you have should fit right in. The second bedroom is once again a generous double sized room. We like the fact that the room is bigger than you may first think thanks to storage space under the stairs for your wardrobes. This room has also been well presented and looks out over the rear of the home.
The attic space
Finally once you are up to the top level of the home you will find a fully floored loft space which the owners use as an extra space where guests can stay. This space has a real lovely feel and features a double glazed Velux window to the rear elevation.
Outside the home
To the front of the home there is a walled courtyard area where you could maybe add some potted plants to add a little colour and there is gated access which will lead you up to the main front entrance.
Once you are round to the rear of the home there is an enclosed walled yard area with enough space where you can sit and relax during the summer months or maybe even enjoy a BBQ. This space is a real private area and once you have added you pots and plants you can create a really lovely area to enjoy.
