Bowerham is one of Lancaster's most popular residential areas. Located on the South side of the city it attracts a wide range of clientele from the young professionals, growing families and the retired due to its wide range of amenities, shops, schools and churches.
There are excellent transport links with regular busses both to the university and the city centre, both of which are only a short drive way. Minutes away are the hospital and University of Cumbria, two of the cities largest employers.
What we like
We were quite impressed that this terrace home has rather spacious rooms including two bedrooms which are both doubles. However the main feature has to be the fact there is not only a bathroom but a further shower room which will always come in handy.
A little about the home
This mid terrace home opens into a small vestibule which then leads you through to the main living area of the home. Buyers will see that the lounge is a generous size and has access through to the kitchen diner. Once you are in the kitchen you will see that there is ample space for all the white goods and extra storage is available under the stairs. From here there is a further door which leads you through to the ground floor shower room and access is available to the outside space.
Once you are upstairs the landing offers doors opening to both double bedrooms to the front and rear of the home and there is a three piece bathroom suite to the middle. The property is all double glazed and gas central heated throughout. There is also no chain involved.
The ground floor rooms
As you step inside this home from the front elevation you will find yourself in porch which will be the perfect space for you to take off your shoes before you step through to the main living area for the home.
The lounge is a great sized room which has a real bright and airy feel thanks to the large double glazed window to the front elevation. The ceilings are quite high which adds to the feeling of space and to the centre of the room there is a living flame coal effect gas fire with a tiled backdrop and timber surround. This has to be the main focal point of this neutrally decorated room. To one side of the chimney breast is an original built in storage unit and display cabinet. Access from the lounge will lead you through to the stairs and the kitchen.
Buyers will see that the kitchen is also a good sized room which has some built in storage for all your bits and pieces and room for all the white goods you would expect to have. From the sink area there is a double glazed window which looks out to the rear of the home. Storage is available under the stairs and this would be the ideal place to hide away the hoover and ironing board. A glazed doorway opens up to the rear hallway which allows access out to the rear yard and there is also a rather handy ground floor shower room. This three piece suite is a real bonus to have as it's an added extra to the bathroom you will discover on the first floor.
Up to the first floor
Once you are up to the first floor landing you will see that there are doors opening to the three rooms available. To the front of the home is where you will find the master bedroom. This spacious double bedroom offers a range of built in wardrobes to one wall for all your storage needs and there is plenty of room for all the furniture you would expect to have. The front of the home has an open aspect with views out towards the hills of Clougha.
The second bedroom is also a double sized room which has a range of built in wardrobes to one wall. The double glazed window looks out to the rear garden and the room like the master has been decorated in neutral tones. Finally inside there is a three piece coloured bathroom suite which has a shower above the bath which is run off the mixer taps. The room has been partially tiled and offers a sky light to the centre of the ceiling which allows in borrowed light and also provides access up into the loft area for further storage.
As you approach the home from the front you will see that there are stone walled boundaries from the pavement and gated access onto the courtyard style area which has access up to the main entrance. There is space where you could add a few plants if you so wish for a little bit of colour and kerb appeal. Once you are round to the rear of the property you will see that there is an enclosed space with a small lawned area where you could sit and relax, enjoying the afternoon sunshine during the summer months. Gated access takes you out to the rear service lane for your bins etc...
