Welcome to Slyne Road. The area comprises mainly of Victorian terrace homes but recently modern developments have been built in the area. There are excellent local amenities close by that include shops, a doctor's surgery, dentist and chemist. There's a primary school close by for families.
The area is well serviced by public transport and will allow easy access to the new motorway link road which is great for commuters.
What we like...
We really like how well presented this property is and the owners style of decoration. One of the most impressive parts you will find is as soon as you step inside. The original mosaic tiled floor is on show which is a lovely feature.
A little about the home
The main entrance to the front opens up into a well appointed hallway with the original tiled floor and stained glass door. The first room you will come to on your right hand side is the lovely living room with a feature fire and there is a separate dining room where you can real and entertain. To the far end of the ground floor is the kitchen which is a generous size and there is a breakfast bar. Access to a handy cellar for all your storage needs can also be gained from the kitchen.
Up to the first floor there are three great sized bedrooms with the master overlooking the front of the home and there is also a three piece bathroom suite in white. Externally the home offers well maintained garden areas to both the front and rear along with off road parking for two vehicles to the rear of the home which is a real bonus. The home is both double glazed and offers a gas central heating system.
The ground floor rooms
As you step inside the beautiful home from the main front entrance you will firstly find yourself in the vestibule which is the perfect space to store your coats and shoes before stepping through the original stained glass doorway and into the hallway. As you will no doubt see the original mosaic tiled floor is on show which helps to add character. The stairs up to the first floor are straight ahead of you and access to both reception rooms can be gained.
To the front of the home is the main living room which is a great size and has been tastefully decorated. This room has a real bright and airy feel thanks to the bay window to the front elevation and there is a feature open fire to the centre of the room which will be great to sit in front of on those cold evenings. The dining room is separate to the living room and there is a free standing electric stove set in the chimney breast to the centre of the room. We feel this would be the perfect space where you can sit and relax whilst enjoying your evening meals with family and friends. A window looks out into the rear garden and there is access from this room straight into the kitchen.
The fitted kitchen is a great size and offers plenty of built in storage and ample work space for those who love to cook. You can also sit down at the breakfast bar which is a great addition to this room. The room has retained its original built in cupboard and drawers along with a fireplace to the centre of the room which is a lovely feature. The room has a real bright and airy feel and has a rather pleasing aspect which looks out into the rear garden. Access to the cellar can be gained from here and there is also a doorway which leads you out into the garden.
Up to the first floor
Once you are up to the first floor landing you will find the master bedroom is to the front of the home. This large double bedroom is a great size with ample space for all the furniture you would expect to have. The bay window allows in plenty of light during the day and the room has been tastefully decorated in a contemporary style.
The second and third bedrooms both look out over the rear of the home and are large enough to accommodate double beds if you so wish. We feel these would both be ideal rooms for children or possibly even when you have guests visiting. Finally the bathroom has been fitted with a modern three piece suite in white which has a shower above the bath to give you the best of both worlds. The room has been partially tiled and there is a frosted double glazed window to the side elevation.
To the front of the home is a well maintained and low maintenance garden with steps leading you up the pathway to the main entrance. There is also a hedge which offers privacy from the roadside at the front.
Once you are round to the rear of the property there is a well maintained garden which has been tastefully designed. The lower level has been flagged which has space to add your own table and chairs and from here there are steps leading you up to the lawned garden area and there are well stocked, mature beds to add extra colour. The boundaries are formed with timber fencing and there is gated access which leads you out to the parking area which belongs to the property and offers enough space for two cars to be parked off the road. The rear garden also features a stone built outhouse for extra storage.
