Deansgate enjoys great access to both the town centre and Poulton. Regular buses run along nearby Euston Road connecting the town, and neighbouring towns and villages and the train station is a short walk away. The area is popular with first time buyers and young families, and is easy to see why, with so much on your doorstep. There are popular local schools and churches and plenty of shops within walking distance. The town centre itself is just a stroll away, as is the promenade. Poulton is the oldest part of Morecambe and has a rich history as a fishing village long before the resort of Morecambe developed. The area has undergone regeneration in recent years and really is a joy to walk around with colourful murals invoking the history of Poulton.
What We Love
From the moment we stepped over the front door of this home we knew it was something special. We love the open plan space on offer with this property and also the contemporary mix of modern touches with original features. The home is a real find and quite different to a lot of other properties on the market. Book your viewing and see for yourself!
This traditional fisherman's cottage built circa 1830 consists of an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, creating a modern contemporary feel to a traditional cottage. There is a utility room off the kitchen which gives access to the rear yard and large cellar. On the first floor you will find three double bedrooms and a large family bathroom and the second floor hosts the fantastic master bedroom with an en suite dressing room.
Open Plan Living
The front door opens up into an amazing and modern open plan space. To the front of the property are the lounge and dining areas, with the kitchen situated at the rear. The slate tiles in the lounge and dining area are in keeping with the age of the home and the multi fuel burner adds that elegant modern twist. This space can be used however buyers wish with more than enough space to have defined living and dining areas with big pieces of furniture.
The farmhouse style kitchen to the rear of the property is again in keeping with the home. There is plenty of space for the expected appliances and even plumbing for a dishwasher. A handy utility room to the left of the kitchen has plumbing for a washing machine, space for a tumble dryer and even room to squeeze an extra fridge or freezer!
The utility room gives access to both the rear garden and the cellar. The cellar is a great space for extra storage or perhaps a workshop.
The open staircase from the lounge leads to the first floor. The hallway is bright from the large oval window overlooking the side of the property. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, all of which are doubles. Two of the bedrooms have the added benefit of built in storage with rails and shelving. All three rooms have a neutral decor with beige carpets. The large family bathroom is also situated on the first floor. Here buyers will find a four piece suite comprising a w.c, sink and bath in white with a mixer shower cubicle. The room is modern with beige tiles and stripped floorboards. Extra storage shelving can be found at the end of the hallway.
The impressive master bedroom is located on the second floor. Exposed beams continue with the charm of the home and the velux window brings in the light. The large ensuite dressing room is located to the rear of the room. Rails and shelving to one side alleviate the need for wardrobe space and the mixer shower cubicle, w.c and sink in white are a perfect addition to complete this outstanding property.
The rear garden has enough space to sit out or for the children to play. The vendors have laid artificial grass making it child friendly and easy to clean. The property has the added benefit of residents' parking.
