About this home

There's something special about Dallas Road. It begins with the tree lined street.

Step inside and the beautifully tiled hallway full of original features sets the tone of what to expect from this stunning period home. Throughout you'll find a home full of features including stunning fireplaces, deep skirting boards and beautiful cornicing, The original sash windows have been restored and draft proofed. It truly is a beautiful home.

With 4 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms and a rather fantastic cinema room on the lower ground floor, you'll be suprised by all this home offers. The wow feature for us however was the top floor bedroom. Wait until you see it.....

What we like...

All the rooms are great in this home! But the two which really got our attention must be the converted cellar and the top floor bedroom. The owners have turned the front part of the cellar into their very own private cinema room, ideal for entertaining your family and friends. Also the top floor bedroom has been opened up to create a fantastic space and offers so much light thanks to the six, yes six Velux windows!

A brief description

As you step inside this substantial terrace home you will find yourself in the hallway with its original tiled floor. Buyers will find the main living room to the front of the home and there are two areas where you can relax and dine. The kitchen is to the far end of the ground floor and also offers access to the outside space.

Down in the cellar you will find a great space to the front which has been converted into a cinema room whilst there are two further storage areas down in this space along with plumbing, heating, power and light.

Up to the first floor you will discover three generous sized bedrooms and there is a three piece suite and a separate wc on offer. Up to the top floor you will see that the owners have opened what was once two rooms into a great bedroom/study area which has wonderful light thanks to the many Velux windows on offer. Externally the home has an enclosed yard to the rear and the property itself has retained many original features.

Ground floor rooms

The main entrance to the front of the home opens up into a rather attractive hallway which has retained its original mosaic tiled floor which runs the full length of the hallway. A really lovely feature. The stairs are straight ahead of you with space to store your coats and shoes at the bottom. Access to all the rooms on the ground floor can be gained from here also.

Buyers will find that the main living room is to the front of the home and there is a bay window which will allow in the morning sunlight. The main focal point of the room has to be the fireplace which is a lovely piece of history. Imagine being curled up in front of the fire on those cold evenings with your family. The formal dining room also has an original style feature fireplace to the centre of the room and we feel this is the perfect space to entertain your family and friends over an evening meal.

There is a further dining area which allows direct access into the kitchen. This is an ideal area where you could maybe enjoy your breakfast before the long day ahead. The kitchen is to the far end of the home and has been fitted with stainless steel units with ample work space and a built in wooden chopping board to one corner. You will see that there is a built in gas stove to the chimney breast with a built in extractor fan concealed above. Access out to the rear can be gained from this room and there is a sash window from the sink area which looks out to the rear yard.

First and second floors

Once you have made your way up to the first floor landing area you will find the master bedroom overlooks the front of the home. This very generous sized double room will be ideal for any style and size of furniture you may well have. The room has retained its original fireplace to the centre of the room which adds extra character to this already charming home.

There are two further bedrooms on the first floor which are both large enough to accommodate double beds if you so wish. One could potentially be used as a guest room whilst the other possibly for one of your children. The rooms see the continuation of the neutral decoration which will please most buyers. Finally to the first floor there is of course the bathroom and separate wc. The bathroom has been tastefully designed with not only the expected bath and sink unit, but a separate walk in shower cubicle which will appeal to many. The separate wc will also no doubt prove useful with this being a large family home.

Up to the top floor the owners have actually created one large room as this space was actually split from two rooms. This room has such a bright and airy feel thanks to the six, yes six Velux windows which the owners have added to the rear elevation of the home. This wonderful sized room would be ideal to use as a large double bedroom and work space combined which is exactly how it is set up at the moment. Or depending on how you need to use the space you could always put back the wall and split the room into two creating a fifth bedroom. The choice is yours.

Lower ground floor

The access to the cellar area of the home can be accessed from the second dining area. Once you are down to this level you will see that the front part has been converted and is used as the owners very own cinema room. This wonderful space can be enjoyed by any film lover or even turned into something else depending on what you like.

The second room is used for storage and also a utility area with plumbing for a washing machine, a small fitted sink and the meters for the home can also be found down here. Just off this room there is a further small room which can be used for further storage.

Outside space

To the front of the home there is a courtyard style area with mature plants raised up from the pavement and there are steps which lead up to the main entrance.

Once you are round to the rear of the property you will find yourself in a private and enclosed yard with gated access out to the rear. This area will enjoy the afternoon sunshine and would be the perfect space where you can sit out and relax after a long hard day.
