Bolton le Sands is a popular village just North of the city of Lancaster and is close to Morecambe Bay for fantastic sun sets and seaside walks. This village has been around for many years and is referred to as Bodeltone in the Domesday book. The village was known as Bolton until the arrival of the railways, when the name was changed to Bolton-le-Sands. The oldest church in the village, Church of England Holy Trinity was originally dedicated to St Michael and it is believed that the oldest part of the church dates back to around the 1500's. The canal is also not far away with pleasing countryside walks available through to neighbouring Hest Bank or Lancaster.

A brief description
