Where is Earl Street?

Welcome to Earl Street, a tucked away tree lined street set back from the River Lune and close to the Millenium Bridge. This part of Skerton is dedicated to residential living. It's quiet, given the fact it is set away from the A6 yet also very convenient for the city centre and major transport links. Sainsburys is easily accessed over the millennium bridge. Ryelands Park is just a few minutes walk. A residents parking scheme is in operation ensuring ease of parking for local residents.

About this home

Is this the one most delightful period homes on the market for sale? At this price, it is a serious contender. This beautifully presented home offers 2 reception rooms, the dining area being open plan to a rather stylish classically designed kitchen, chosen to suit the homes character. It's a social home, one which is great to entertain friends and family.

Both of the bedrooms are doubles. Look out of the rear bedroom and you'll see Williamson Memorial over the roofops of the city. Relax in the evening in your rear courtyard and enjoy a glass of wine as you sit around your firepit. This is a must see.

What we like

"When you are a first time buyer, sacrifices have to be made. Stopping in becomes the new going out. However, you'll want to entertain your friends in this fabulous kitchen diner. Afterwards, enjoy drinks at home sat out around a firepit in your landscaped rear courtyard!"

The ground floor

The main front entrance opens into a small vestibule which has space to store your coats before you step through to the main living area. We love the stylish decor the lounge offers and there is a double glazed window to the front elevation which creates a bright and airy feel.

Just off the lounge you will find yourself in the rather spacious dining room. We think this is the perfect space where you can dine and entertain your family and friends in the evenings. Once again the decor has been tastefully chosen and will appeal to many buyers. There is a double glazed window which looks out to the rear of the home. The laminate flooring which has been laid continues through to the kitchen which has been made open plan.

To the far end of the ground floor there is a generous sized fitted kitchen which offers a great range of built in storage and there is ample work space for those who love to cook. There is a built in electric oven, gas hob and an extractor fan above along with space for all the expected white goods you will need. Access to the outside space and the cellar can be gained from the kitchen and there is a double glazed window to the side elevation which looks into the rear yard.

The bedrooms and bathroom

Once you are up to the first floor you will find yourself on the landing which has access to all the rooms available on this level. To the front of the home is where you will find the master bedroom which has been very well presented. This room has retained the original fireplace which is a lovely feature and adds a little character to the room. A double glazed window looks out onto the tree lined street.

The second bedroom is also large enough to accommodate a double bed and has been decorated in a contemporary manor. There is also an original fireplace to the centre of the room and a double glazed window looks out over the yard at the rear of the home. Finally there is a great sized three piece bathroom suite in white. Above the bath you will see there is a shower which will give you the best of both worlds and the room has been partially tiled to complement. A frosted double glazed window to the rear elevation gives the room a bright and airy feel.

Outside the home

Once you are outside to the rear of the home you will find there is a rather pleasing and enclosed yard. There is space for you to add in your very own table and chairs so you can sit out during the summer months and maybe even enjoy a BBQ with your friends on the shaled seating area. There is a concrete path which leads to the timber gate out to the rear service lane.
