Thirlmere Road is located on the Ridge approximately 1 mile from all that Lancaster's City Centre has to offer. It is an area that is popular with first time buyers and growing families due to the generously proportioned properties, proximity to schools and ease of access to the M6 and many of the areas major employers. Regular busses link the area with the city centre, although many people choose to stroll in via the canal towpath that can be accessed from Ridge Lane. Local amenities including a convenience store are close by.
What we like...
We were really impressed with the outside of this home as there is something rather unusual. To the rear garden there is an undercover seating area which you can enjoy even when the weather is not great, come and see.
A little about the home
There are two entrances opening into the home from the front elevation and the main doorway leads you into the hall which has the stairs and access to the living room. Buyers will find that the lounge is a generous size and is open plan to the dining room. There is a generous sized kitchen with a range of modern units and this has access to a utility area and also a doorway to the outside space.
Upstairs buyers will find that there are three generous sized bedrooms along with a contemporary three piece shower room which has been fully tiled. Externally there is a small garden area to the front of the home whilst round to the rear the garden is in two sections. The first is an undercover area which steps up to the main garden where you can enjoy the summer sunshine. The home is double glazed, central heated and is for sale with no chain.
Ground floor rooms
Once you step inside from the main entrance you will find yourself in the hallway. This area has space for your coats and shoes in a handy built in storage cupboard. The stairs up to the first floor are straight ahead of you and there is a doorway opening into the main living room off on your right hand side.
The main living room is a great sized space which has been decorated in a contemporary style and has ample room for all the expected furniture. There is a double glazed window to the front elevation which looks onto the small garden area which has been well maintained. The lounge is open plan to the dining area which has a wonderful aspect looking out over the rear garden. This is a great space to entertain your family and friends or to just simply sit and enjoy your evening meals.
The kitchen is just off the dining room and buyers will find that this room has been fitted with a great range of built in storage along with ample work space to three sides. There is a built in electric oven along with a gas hob which has an extractor fan above. As you would expect there is space for the expected white goods with further room available in the utility area which has a handy under stairs storage cupboard. Back in the kitchen and you will find there is a doorway which opens out into the rear garden area.
Up to the first floor
Once you are up to the first floor you will find that there is access to all the rooms available and there is a handy built in storage cupboard for your towels and bedding etc. The master bedroom is a wonderful size double room which has two double glazed windows looking out over the front elevation towards the Lancaster Castle. The master room also offers sliding built in wardrobes to one wall for your storage needs.
The second bedroom overlooks the rear of the home and is another great sized room which could accommodate a double bed if required. The third bedroom is back at the front of the home and is a well proportioned single room which could well be used as a study depending on your needs and there is a further built in storage cupboard over the stairs. Finally inside there is a fully tiled three piece shower room which has been fitted in a contemporary manor. If buyers would prefer a bath there is actually space to add one if you wanted to.
To the front of the home there is a small but well maintained garden area with a variety of shrubs to add a little colour. There is also a pathway which leads you to the two entrances to the front of the home which opens into the utility area and the hallway.
Once you are round to the rear you will discover a undercover seating area which all the family can enjoy all year round. This then steps up to the main low maintenance and enclosed garden area where you can enjoy the summer sunshine.
